Gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people of African descent are faced with many challenges in their family, professional and social lives.

The ATB conference series will focus on empowering the Black LGBT community through a series of workshops and panel discussions focused on politics, health, spirituality, parenting and sexuality.

We hope to empower Black same-gender loving people everywhere by providing them with resources and tools to empower their lives.

The conference series will take place Friday, July 1, 2005 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Westin Airport Hotel located at 5400 west Century Boulevard in Los Angeles. The conference series is free to attend, however participants are responsible for their own parking. The hotel provides self and valet parking options at a nominal fee.

The 2005 ATB conference series coordinators are Lisa Powell for United Lesbians of African Heritage and Zandra Conway of Atlanta Black Pride and Infinite Solutions LLC.

We thank all of our conference presenters.
